Gabrielle Drake, Sexiest Moon Maiden of All Time!

"Er... May I help you somehow?" |
Gabrielle Drake, famous not only for her bombshell figure but also for the fact that she was the sister of cult musician Nick Drake, was one of the top rising young British actresses of the time. She played Lieutenant Gay Ellis on U.F.O. Lieutenant Ellis was in charge of Moonbase, where she directed space fighters (called "Interceptors") against invading alien spacecraft. It was quite an advanced concept for the time, perhaps a bit too advanced. On Moonbase, which was staffed mainly by pretty girls, Gabrielle wore the purple wig and silver jumpsuit. When not on duty, though, Gabrielle showed a very relaxed attitude that perfectly fit the times. The series was filmed in 35mm, which means the transfer to Blu-Ray is phenomenally good for a brief British TV series of the time, Captures can be made of very high quality for those with access to the negatives.
Below are a number of screen captures, advertisements and still photos of the extremely pretty and talented Gabrielle Drake. I couldn't show all of my collection because, well, Gabrielle was a free-spirited girl who wasn't shy. No, not shy at all, thank goodness, and more power to her! If you doubt her fame, just bear in mind that they actually made an action figure out of her Lieutenant Ellis character. That's popularity!
Besides U.F.O, Gabrielle appeared in a number of other quality productions, such as the long-running British television series "Coronation Street" and, most recently, "Doctors." She's still acting, but who really cares - her fame is based on what she did from roughly 1969-1972, and boy does she deserve fame for that!
First up, the main titles to "U.F.O.," which of course feature Gabrielle Drake, though only briefly and toward the end:
Below is a corny tribute somebody prepared about Gabrielle's time as Lieutenant Ellis, which does feature a bunch of great photos:
Next, two extended scenes with her in U.F.O., dubbed into German. For some reason, the German makes her seem more strict... and sexy.
Up next is a great scene from Gabrielle's 1972 "Au Pair Girls" romp that gets even better after the clip ends. Unfortunately, we can't show you that part - yes, it is that good. It's not a bad film at all, certainly representative of the standard British sex farce of its time, lots of leering and nudity and double entndres and all that. You can find copies if you do the least little searching in the usual places.
And here is the trailer from "Au Pair Girls," featuring Gabrielle as the top-billed star.

All right, now we come to still photographs, mostly of Gabrielle as Lieutenant Ellis. Enjoy, she is delightfully photogenic:
